Can I Hardwire the Tracker Into My Vehicle?
Yes — while Solid GPS is designed to be rechargeable, you can leave it permanently powered by connecting it to a standard USB port in your vehicle.
How long does the battery last? Will I need to replace or recharge them?
No replacement needed — the battery is fully rechargeable.
You’ll get an automatic alert to your phone and email when it hits 30%, so there’s plenty of time to recharge.
Since it only needs recharging every 3, 6, or 12 months (depending on your model), it’ll last for years.
What is the subscription for? Will the price ever increase?
The subscription covers the built-in SIM card and all data your tracker uses.

Can I Manage Multiple Trackers From One Account?
Yes — you can add as many trackers as you like to a single Solid GPS account. It’s super easy to keep track of them all.
To make each tracker easy to identify, you can assign a custom name and colour.
Just head to the account settings in the Solid GPS app or website to manage them anytime.
What network does it use, and how far can it track?
Your Solid GPS tracking device uses the full Telstra & Vodafone network in Australia, the Spark & Vodafone network in New Zealand, and the T-Mobile & AT&T network in the USA, whichever has the strongest signal at that point in time.
If your tracker enters an area with no mobile coverage, don’t worry! It will save the locations your vehicle travels to and automatically uploads the full route once coverage is restored.
How does Solid GPS work? What does the dashboard look like?
Your tracker updates every 2 minutes then gradually increases the update rate to every 10 minutes while moving.
You can enable ‘Emergency Mode’ to keep updates locked at every 2 minutes.
You’ll also get instant alerts if your vehicle moves outside a set boundary using our geofence feature.

Can I Share My Tracker With Others Or Use It On Multiple Devices?
Yes — anyone can download the Solid GPS app and log in with the same account to view the tracker from their own phone or computer.
You can also securely share your tracker with others using a private tracking link. They’ll be able to see the tracker’s location without access to any settings.
This is perfect for trips or peace of mind — and you can disable the link anytime.
